It is tough being a Woman

Being a woman is incredibly challenging. Looking back on my life is intriguing, and at 57, reflection becomes more common. Starting menstruation at 11 brought numerous physical and mental changes, leaving me somewhat dismayed. In my 20s, I suddenly noticed my hips widening, and my pants no longer fit. Who knew? They call them womanly curves. Then came marriage and infertility, leading to a hormonal upheaval. Pregnancy followed, ending in a c-section despite preparing for a vaginal birth. Postpartum, I faced organ prolapse and struggled with healing the c-section wound, eventually needing surgery to support my organs. In my 40s, peri-menopause hit hard, bringing estrogen dominance and the realization that change was necessary. I learned about my toxic load and functional medicine issues, discovering 12 fibroids in my uterus, making me appear four months pregnant. Pelvic pain and heavy bleeding led to a hysterectomy, finally bringing relief. Surprisingly, removing my uterus, a symbol of life and identity, became one of the best days of my life, second only to having my child. I am proud to be a woman who has faced struggles and is humbled by my experiences. I find much more happiness after menopause. Being a woman is undoubtedly a wild journey, with no instructions, just faith that everything will be okay!
