Denise Alberto
Physical Therapist

I am a Bay Area and California native and graduated from St. Mary's College of Moraga, California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I earned my Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, Florida (formerly The Institute of Physical Therapy) in 1996 and have since been practicing physical therapy. I began treating general orthopedic dysfunctions, leading me to develop an interest in the spine and especially the pelvic/SI region. Through continuing education courses in this specialty I have developed my own unique and effective approach to treating chronic pelvic pain and incontinence. I also have a distinct passion for helping couples with unconsummated marriage and sexual pain issues. My experience includes working with post-traumatic stress to facilitate recovery through the mind-body connection. Techniques in visceral manipulation are used. Among other organizations I am have been an active member of the Women's Health and Orthopedic Sections of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1994. In the future, I plan to pursue continuing education courses to augment her knowledge of pediatric incontinence, and bed wetting issues to offer a broader scope to my practice.
